GRILLNATION Santa Maria Tri-tip With A Homemade Seasoning
Santa Maria Tri-tip With A Homemade Seasoning Made On My @napoleonproducts Charcoal Kettle 🔥.
I love using my charcoal kettle for tri-tips because it’s capable of the low smoke (in this case it was at 250) and the final searing (I hit 550 for this one)!
.
I first created my seasoning and then applied truff hot sauce to the cut as a binder. I let the season sit on the meat for about 20 mins and in this time I got my charcoal lit and set the vents for a low smoke at 250 degrees. I placed my meat on the indirect side and let it go for about 40 mins (internal 120). At the halfway mark I placed my corn, tomatoes, jalapeños & onion on the grill to make my tasty salsa topping 🤤 after 20 mins I pulled the veggies and meat to adjust my great and get my temp up to 550 for the final sear! I seared for 2-3 mins each side for the perfect medium-rare 💯What an epic meal to complete my #napoleonmoments
