Nothing better than taking on a few Tomahawks for a nice reverse sear! This method is great for thicker cuts of beef.  It’s where you go low and slow (low temp is around 225-250 degrees) and smoke the cut until it reaches an internal temp of 115-118. Once this temp is reached you crank up a nice hot flame (500-700 degrees) and sear the steak for about 1 min each side. I use the MEATER + for these kinds of cooks because it allows me to have complete control over my cook by monitoring the temp and time through its WiFi capabilities. It notifies you 5 mins before it’s time to pull the cut so you can be prepared and then you can hit the timer for the cool down option. I love the probe and Its functionality.

Coffee Rub Ingredients:
-2 tablespoons espresso grounds coffee rub from Private Selection
-2 tablespoons of Garlic powder
-2 tablespoons of kosher salt
-2 tablespoons black pepper
