I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the weekend than going with a reverse sear on these BEEFY TOMAHAWKS 💯When I received my shipment from #purleymeatco and pulled these tomahawks out I immediately thought of my homemade horseradish butter to compliment them 🤤




-Soak two red oak planks for 1 hour prior and then char one side (3mins over a direct flame)
-Make Compound Butter and refrigerate for 1 hour
-Create meat rub and then season generously
-Set indirect at 250
-Place steaks on red oak planks and slow smoke until 115 internal (40 mins)
-Remove steaks at 115 and raise temp to 500-700 for direct searing
-Sear 1-2 mins each side
-Add butter during the resting period (make sure butter is out for 20-30 mins so it’s soft)
-Slice and serve
-Most importantly, ENJOY
Ingredients (Steak Seasoning)
-2 tablespoons coffee rub
-2 tablespoons garlic powder
-2 tablespoons salt
-2 tablespoons black pepper
Ingredients (Garlic Horseradish Butter)
-1 cup butter
-1 tablespoon lemon juice
-1 tablespoon chives
-1 tablespoon Italian parsley
-1 tablespoon garlic, minced
-1 tablespoon gaucho steak seasoning
-1/4 cup horseradish mustard
