I first tenderized my steaks and then seasoned them. Right after the seasoning I gave them a bath in some carne asada marinade and kept them in the fridge for 4 hours minimum. Before I started to cook my steaks I got my tots seasoned with garlic and onion powder and put them in the oven at 425 for 35 mins (crispy). I timed them with the steaks to be done around the same time. While I was grilling the steaks my wife made a homemade cheese sauce that was killer 💯also, before I started the steaks I made some cilantro-lime sour cream for a sauce to top it with. By far the best snack dinner I’ve ever made 🤤


Skirt steak:
Salt, pepper and paprika seasoning combo (2 tablespoons each)
Carne asada marinade
Cheese sauce:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup whole milk
6 oz. cheddar cheese, grated (I used Beecher’s flagship)
Salt to taste
2 teaspoons chilli powder
Cilantro lime sour cream:
1 cup sour cream
1 lime zested, 1/4 cup lime juice
1/2 cup cilantro
1 tablespoon chilli powder
